Often simply referred to as La Fortuna, the town of La Fortuna de San Carlos is the gateway to the magnificent Arenal Volcano. Other than the famous Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna is home to the surging 230-foot high waterfall: La Catarata de la Fortuna.
