\"a<\/a>La Paz Waterfall is the most famous waterfall in Costa Rica where visitors often stop on the road to take photos on their way to Sarapiqui or Arenal but the best waterfalls are actually above the La Paz waterfall along a steep canyon accessed by the safe hiking trails making the most easily accessible waterfalls in Costa Rica. The waterfall, a great excursion for those who don\u2019t have weeks to comb the rainforest to see Costa Rica\u2019s wildlife in its natural habitat, is located immediately alongside the road from Alajuela that leads to the northern plains of Costa Rica. The River La Paz forms the waterfall after traversing 8 kilometres (5\u00a0mi) of volcanic terrain, and then continues through the rainforest of the eastern side of Po\u00e1s Volcano.<\/p>\n

\"beautiful<\/a>The attraction here consists of a series of wonderfully done trails winding through primary and secondary forests alongside the La Paz River, with lookouts over a series of powerful falls, including the namesake, the beautiful La Paz Fall. With over 3.5 kilometers of walking trails,you need a minimum of 2 hours reserved for your stay. However, as the gardens highlight butterflies, hummingbirds, snakes, frogs, and trout and there is also an orchid display and birding tours are offered, you will probably want to stay the whole day. Be sure to check out the traditional farmhouse on site and the great restaurant.<\/p>\n

\"small<\/a>A visit to the Rich Coast, without seeing the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a place that truly captures the very essence of Costa Rica, – just wouldn’t be complete. This park aimed at preserving and exhibiting the country’s diverse flora fauna and history through it’s many observatories and gardens. The various exhibits are accessed by concrete trails that eventually lead steeply along the river to waterfalls. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens have five different waterfalls with heights of 26 to 32 meters.The La Paz Waterfall Gardens remains open throughout the year, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm in the evening and there is a range of comfortable accommodation around the place which ensures that the tourist will be able to settle there without facing any problem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
